Mandatory Training including a Level 2 Certificate
Description
New Staff can undertake a one week training to achieve the Care Certificate. There are 15 Mandatory units that must be completed in order to achieve this qualification. This can also be undertaken to cover refresher training and an accredited qualification will be achieved over a 3 months to 6 months period.
Currently 54% of direct care workers do not have a level 2 or above qualification. The introduction of the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate qualification will provide a baseline standard and help recognise our care workforce and the professional career that it is.
